Let me start out by saying that if you want to have the best possible mountain/cabin experience, Peggy and Darrell are the folks you contact --- hands down! My wife, three young daughters and myself stayed at River of Dreams for a full week and the entire stay itself was just as the name of the cabin suggested = a dream on the river. Peggy and Darrell make you feel as though you are family and their character is as genuinely nice and kind as you could ever hope to find in people. I wanted to make this trip very special for my girls and Dragonfly Dreams put ALL of my wants and wishes at the forefront of their concerns. I truly could have not imagined anything being even a hint better. If you are like us and wanted to enjoy some good family fun via tubing, EXCELLENT fishing, awesome shopping, beautiful hiking excursions, LOTS of good eating and simply soaking in the perfect change of pace holiday, then please contact my new friends at Dragonfly Dreams. We enjoyed our stay with three other couples in the lovely Hideaway in the Woods cabin! The cabin was spacious, very clean and beautifully decorated with a well equipped kitchen. Although it was a little warmer than expected during our stay, we did enjoy the hot tub as well. The deer in the area came to visit daily even when we were outside on the porch or back deck! We are planning another trip to the area and will definitely use Dragonfly Dreams rentals again.
My family and I stayed at the Bearfoot Summit cabin in mid June. It was absolutely beautiful. Really has the Wow factor. Out of all the vacation spots that I have EVER rented, this place is number one. And yes, I have rented a lot of vacation places. It is beautiful and clean. I could not find a thing wrong or dirty. The deck and porch were ready for us. I did not walk through spider webs to sit on porch. I was very impressed. Peggy is one of the nicest people to deal with. She had a book of info to tell us about the area and cabin. There was also a basket of brochures, of things to do and places to eat. I loved that the area was so peaceful. The view from the porch or one of the decks was awesome. I would sit out on porch, in one of the rockers and think Wow look at what God did! The view was great. We had more than enough space. There is a television in every room, even the downstairs fun area. There is a full kitchen and a very big grill for you. Everything in the cabin worked correctly. We had the comforts of home and I was very impressed. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. If you want a beautiful and very clean cabin, book a stay at the Bearfoot Summit cabin. Hopefully you will like it as much as my family and I did.

My family and I were lucky enough to experience a week stay in beautiful Ellijay, GA, and stayed at a cabin maintained by Dragonfly Dreams. I must say, the individuals who maintained this property (cabin name = River of Dreams) and helped us prepare for our stay went above and beyond to ensure our experience was first class! Peggy specifically, was so attentive and caring in making sure my whole family felt at home the moment we stepped foot into the cabin. She put together a gift basket with games, matching sunglasses, flip flops and embroidered towels for my three young daughters. There eyes lit up with excitement the moment they realized the basket was made special for them. She personalized labels on wine bottles picked special for my husband and I, and made sure the cabin was tidy and exceptionally clean when we arrived. Love and passion for helping guests enjoy their stay was very apparent, and we greatly appreciate the attention to detail that was portrayed with our visit. If you are looking for a fun and relaxing time with your family Ellijay, GA is the place to go. My son and I thoroughly enjoyed staying at The Dragonfly. The cabin had plenty of room for us to enjoy our time together. The two bedrooms and two baths gave us the space for alone time if desired. The well-equipped kitchen provided a variety of options for preparing our meals. When we arrived at the cabin, we were greeted by soft music, part of the entertainment system. That evening we spent several hours on the porch and in the hot tub overlooking the Cartecay River. The lighted pathway gave the cottage and woods around us an ethereal feeling, leaving us totally relaxed after a long day of car travel. The next day we enjoyed our visit and wine tasting at Chateau Meichtry, just minutes from the cabin. We also enjoyed spending time in downtown Ellijay, stopping for peaches at Reece orchards, and coming "home" to Dragonfly to spend the evening watching the sunset over the Cartecay while swinging by the river. We definitely recommend The Dragonfly to anyone looking for a place to relax and rejuvenate. While we only spent a brief time here, we were certainly able to revive our spirits and leave refreshed by our time spent at this lovely cabin!
