Me and my family rented the three bears cabin for about a week actually now driving back to florida. Very pleased with the cabin and the park it self. Dominic from mountain memories was very helpful and responsive. The park itself has a lot to do for the family and children of all ages. Even the surrounded areas gave us never a dull moment. As for the three bears cabin it's all and more then we have could wished for and definitely would come back and recommend to anyone.
This place used to be wonderful to stay at. Now that Vacasa has it, it is not. Our visit 2 weeks ago, the cabin had not been vacummed or swept (steps covered in dirt and rugs with food on them, big chunks) and the tub was filthy it had obviously not been cleaned. The heat quit working during the night. Had to let it defrost then cut back on. Definitely not what it used to be. They should go back to local people operating these cabins.
We stayed in the Laughing Hippo, a very well laid out 2 bed cabin in the woods. I have no complaints and the service and assistance given prior to arriving was top notch, beds were clean, dishes were clean, grill worked, and water worked. I suggest this company to anybody wanting to visit the north GA mountains.
our experience at Laughing Hippo was the worst ever. The first door you go in to enter the house is a screen door with the bottom part of the screen torn and hanging, the door would drag on the floor when opening and closing it needs to be replaced. The porch was next it had dead bugs mangled in spider webs all over the window seals it was gross, then inside the house in one bedroom there was a window unit a/c which was not in the window on the pictures advertising this cabin, there was another window unit over the kitchen sink!!! How tacky this seems dangerous with water in the sink and an air conditioner right there. It also was not in the pictures online advertising this cabin. That is misrepresenting the cabin!!!! The bedding was awful looked like it was 20 years old!!! This cabin was nothing like the pictures showed it to be. It is not rentable property!!! When you drive 12 hrs to get to your destination you expect something nice just like you viewed on the online pictures. It was so gross we left. Called management and asked to be put somewhere else was told they had no place for us to go. He was very RUDE!!! I told him that we could not stay there and that I wanted my money back his reply was I was not getting my money back and he did not care if I stayed or left!!! We left and drove another 12 hours home. I think I deserve my money back I would have never paid hundreds of dollars to stay here had the pictures online showed how the cabin really looked. I was misrepresented from the beginning!!! I also saw a review from someone back in July that the screen door screen was torn off on the bottom so that proves they do not take care of maintenance on the cabins. I have rented from other agencies for years in this same area and have never had a problem. Mountain memories cabin rental or Mountain nightmare cabin rental ( which ever you chose to call them. Needs to get it together and not rent such low end properties. I will never use them again and I would be very cautious it you are using there agency. The pictures you view online of the cabins are not as the cabin actually is!!!!! I should get at least part of my money back And they should try to accommodate there guest with a little kindness and not with rudeness!!!! This was a vacation from HELL!!! Thanks to Mountain Memories cabin rental!!!
The cabin is cute and cozy and has wonderful views. The hot tub and fire pit did not work on out visit though. The management company is non-responsive and ignores requests based on issues with the visit. I have contacted both Mountain Memories Cabins and the new management company Vacasa about issues and they have not responded to multiple emails. Very disappointing.
